Afternoon,
I turn the key to start the car and the stater motor simy clicks. I'm checking all my earth's as I think they're all on paint and not bare metal (oops) but if that doesn't cure it... what could it be? I can only assume wiring.

Are you using the new battery If not, the battery is dead.

Check all wiring and if it still doesn't work, smack the motor with a hammer handle or block of wood and see if it frees it up.

If that doesn't work, take out the spark plugs and try again.

If that doesn't work, take the starter motor off and see if you can hear it spin at a decent speed. If it sounds shitty, could be the starter motor or earth.

Yeah that was with the brand new battery but the connectors were attached to the battery via insulation tape. I now have the correct connectors so ill get them on and try those. Starter motor does look pretty worn like! Cheers danny
