Morning all, Does anyone has access to the wiring diagrams for the Central locking module in a Ford Focus Mk1? My copy of eTIS is playing up so can't look it up myself. Specifically looking for how the CL module is connected to the door motors as I'm trying to retro-fit remote central locking in my Fiesta  Cheers Paul |

Does the escort come with remote locking?? I've got the focus module and a focus key so would prefer to use that. From what I've read its completely stand alone so should just be a case of giving it power and an antennae and then wiring it to the central locking so that when I press the button it will tell the doors to open but both doors will think the pulse has come from the other one. If that makes sense?? |

I think so but if you already have a fob for the focus then thats half the battle as they aint cheap, I want a new one for my car but the price is rediculous. |

The fobs are the cheap part normally, the programming of them is the expensive bit. Unless ford are just backwards and ask stupid prices for all of it. |

I was just looking at ford parts uk last night and the fob cost quite abit the key part was sold seperately. I imagine coding will be the same cost of a small country. |

I believe the focus door catch is either an all in one unit with the central locking actuator built in to it, or it has a actuator that hooks on to a latch and screws to the door catch housing |

Programming the remote liking is normally the easy part, it's the transponder or starting the car that costs heaps to get ford to do. Need to see what the wires are all for to figure out if it is possible to fool the unit into thinking its in a focus like it should be. If I am get power to it and the fob paired then all it needs to do is hear the fob and then send a pulse to the central locking. The CL will then think the car has been unlocked by the other door as when you unlock the drivers door it sends a pulse to all te other doors. Paul |
