If they have hydraulic tappets then no they don't. If they are the old style kent engines then yes they do. |

A clutch kit IS the complete clutch, friction plate, pressure plate and release bearing. It'll be the release bearing making the noise, and while you're doing that you may aswell do the rest. As for noisy top end, just how noisy is it? Don't forget you'll have the noise injectors make, they can give the impression of a noisy head. |

Injector noise is often overlooked ![]() Have a look at some YouTube video's of the same engine running, as an alternative to finding them in real life too ![]() One more thing to note, you say the oil level is fine, but what grade are you using? If it's too thin on the top end of the heat range it will make things a bit noisier ![]() |

Well, if you want to take a video of it and post it up we can have a listen, but I'll be better it's just general running noise and the sound of the injectors. At 100k the engine won't sound quite as smooth as it once did, but unless the sound is quite audible, then I'm going to say I wouldn't worry. As for what oil to use, it's supposed to take 5-30 I do believe. You can consider going a little thicker though now you're on higher mileage. |
