howdy mate u can just get the door lock rebuilt i had mine done last year and never let me down i always spray wd40 or spray grease in mine help to prevent it from seizing, go 2 a few friendly garages near to u and ask them if they can do it ![]() |

mine is doing the same thing! its been doing it for a few months, and i cant really be bothered to get it fixed!! As long as it still locks, im not bothered ![]() |

Thanks for the help guys. I've been reading some guides and articles about Ford locks, and it seems that I should be able to buy a kit to rebuild a suitable lock. I think I might be up to the task of doing that myself and saving a little money. I also found a guy that can cut me some replacement Ford keys with the chip inside if I give him the code. I also learned how to read the 6 digit code by examining my key - as I don't have the code on my manual or on a sticker somewhere. I think I'm getting somewhere! ![]() |

Replaced the ignition barrel on my son's Si, cost about £8 for the parts and slipped the guy in the dealers £15 to set it up for existing key. Will be the same for door lock, apparently fezzas are renowned for worn lock barrels, lucky we had the 'red' key and that allowed me to turn the ignition enough to slip the barrel out. |
