i have changed the clutch cable twice on the RS but still crunching in reverse, now another cable the peddle is only coming up about 2 inchs when engaged. had the clutch checked out and is ok, but someone told me the quadrant could be f**ked. any ideas as dont want to change the quadrant yet as its a s**t of a job. |

to be fair i have no idea what a 'quadrant' is but every time i put a new clutch cable on my si i always adjust the foot pedal under the dash so it sits the same hight as the brake pedal. that way i get no clutch slips and no crunches! |

Adjusting the quadrant will help with pedal height and where the bite point is. If that doesn't help it might be worth looking at the linkage and adjusting it slightly to see if that helps - 10mm bolt and it can be moved to whatever position you want, mine only need moving a couple of mm for it to be non crunchy. |

Danny, What do mean move the linkage?? Do you mean turn the arm around on the box? I thought the splined shaft was keyd so it could only go on the right way? Paul |

Ahhhh.... the light comes on. Wonder if I should move mines a little bit then, bit crunchy sometimes, but then my quadrant is on its way out too so that's probably not helping ![]() Oh, the joys the joys ![]() Paul |
