Can we make a subforum in the tech section, "Help the Scouse" ? Get it lightened while your there for epic drivingness. Lightened and skimmed is like £80? Maybe, probably not, just a guess. |

Does the flywheel feel rough or dimpled? No didnt think so. Get some sand paper on there, rough it up a bit and it will be fine ![]() |

I would do it as a matter of course if you've got it accessible like that! There are a few heat spots on there, and no doubt you will be ragging the shit out of it when you get it in. Are you putting a new clutch in too? Just whip that flywheel off and get it skimmed! It's not worth NOT doing in my eyes. |

improves throttle response - engine revs quicker - if you touch the throttle on a fiesta st (lightened flywheel) it revs up faster - but it does make the engine work harder at higher revs |

Yeah, definitely a good thing, faster to rev up, faster to rev down, less mass to move. But you only need a skimming so don't go thinking you need it lightened and balanced. If you can't afford to then there's no need. |
