quick question. will a 1.4 exhaust fit to the 1.6 downpipe? the underneath are both different so only the 1.4 will fit it, but not sure if it will fit the 1.6 downpipe as said. ta |

as soon as i can find the diagrams i will be the winner ![]() thats the issue i had with that exhaust i bought! it was for a 1.6 but i have to have it bent to fit becuase the 1.6 space for the exhaust is longer and the bend is further on |

I am pretty sure the floor plan is the same, the variance in the exhausts is due to the difference engines/downpipes. |

go to page 18 on mine and read the bit about the exhaust! you have even said it differs between the 1,6 and 1.4 ![]() |

Yeah the length of the mid-section is different due to the downpipe/cat design. They still have the same chassis though... ![]() |

ok you got me there! ill give you that one. but it still proves the fact i cant use a 1.6 exhaust? |

Post subject: | Re: exhaust |
You cant use the 1.6 exhaust on the 1.4 downpipe now. Trust me, get a 1.6 downpipe and a 1.6 cat back system, it'll be fine ![]() Or get an exhaust place to make you up a bit of pipe to put in the gap. But i'd personally just get a 1.6 system to save fucking around. Plus it'll sound better. Then get a de-cat and smash it off the limiter and make some huge pops with flames popping out the exhaust ![]() |
