when we done the convertion to my fezz the clutch cable was hard to get on and we had to use a crowbar to push the clutch arm back just to get it on.now the clutch pedal in the car is now hard to push down any ideas on what it colud be also the clutch starts slipping now and then but when the engine was in my si the clutch was normal and the pedal wasnt hard.

If so, was it a fiesta one?

i used the clutch from my si as it was recently new in there but i used the 1.1 gear box and cable

The fact the pedal is hard to push down says something isn't installed right or something is sticking.

Perhaps try a different cable, see if that helps.

Also, you put it in the lever end first. Then you put the cable in the pedal quadrant.

It doesn't matter what way you put the clutch cable in, it's just sometimes easier to do it that way because you can wind the ratchet mechanism around on the pedal.

I've always put the cable in the gearbox end last and use a bar to press the clutch lever down. Saves pissing around with the ratchet and stuff
