Post subject: | RS Turbo ~ Boot |
Ok long story so will shorten it down. Basically saw a few bubbles of rust on my boot and was going to be sending it off for smoothing and thought i would take the rear window out myself, MISTAKE 1, totally smashed the back window. went to the scrapyard to get a second hand window when they offered me a boot with no rust of a tidy mk3, with only front damage. now ive tried everything in my power to make the fcuker fit, can not get it to lie up at all, or when i do it wont go onto the lock mechanism, now ive swapped the lock over from the rs and messed about with the position of the mechanisms but cant for the life of me get it to work. should fit no problem, only difference in the mk3 boots is the early mk3 bootlid and the later mk3.5 bootlid, the mk3.5 has cables coming throught the top of the boot aswel as the bottom, is the new bootlid you bought bent on the inside ?? |

If you don't use it much use those springs that stretch onto a hook but mount them inside A mate did this on his mk1 with a fiberglass boot to hide it was fiberglass ![]() |
