They are easy to replace. You'll know if they are gone because the car would either be solid (seized damper) or really bouncy (failed damper) Price depends what ones you buy. They are probably fairly cheap though. Check euro car parts for a rough price. Why not just wait until the coilovers are on. Saves some money doesn't it ![]() ![]() |

I take it you mean the rear beam bush then? If so, get a garage to do it lol. They are a bitch unless you have the tools. They basically need cutting out. You can do it yourself with a hacksaw, hammer and chisel, but it's so much effort! But if you do it, do the other one too and whack poly bushes in there ![]() |

ohh balls ![]() i can do rear wheels bearings though cant i? thats not hard, i know the fronts are like! but it will be cheaper for me to take the hub off and take it round for them to press out etc etc... |

I drilled mine out, drilled about 10 holes all around the bush and then they just push out. But because they are rubber you need to be careful and have a good drill because the drill bit gets caught and overworks the drill, and if it jams you might break your arm if you have a really powefull drill haha |

how much you pay mole? you got the link? i have pretty good set of drill bits but yeah, ill be careful with my arms lol, usually have pretty bad luck with drills though tbh lol! happy that i can try it. by drilling holes though how does that just push out? or do the holes allow you to lever it out? |

Rear wheel bearing is piece of piss. Literally a 30min job. Wheel off, hub off, bearings out, knock the races out, knock new ones in, new greased up bearing in the rear, new retainer, bit more grease for good luck, slide the drum on, grease it up some more (can never have to much) new greased up bearing over the hub spindle, hub nut on, wheel on, sorted. And those look like the bad boys indeed |

Bearing kits aren't much, under £10 a side I know that. I do have prices from motaquip - ford part specialist motor factors. I always use them for bits. They come with little sachets of grease in the box but it's not much tbh, I always use lithium ep3 grease. It's common grease on cars, has a high melting point so its good for wheel bearings. You can get that anywhere, think euro car parts sell big tubs of it for about £10 - think its car lube branded. It'll last you for yonks. Plus you can use it on all sorts, so comes in handy for bits and bobs ![]() |

Best way to do the beam bushes is ideally to take the axle off or drop the front down, then using a blow torch burn the bushes out, takes about 20mins a side, then the new bushes just slide in with a bit of grease |
