Just bought a 2.0si, twice i've been to the petrol station and twice it's taken ages to start. Looks as though when she's warm it turns over fine but takes a while to start. When it does start its as though its on cold idle, idling at 1.5k Any ideas? |

Might need a good service but check all the usuals like maf sensor, iscv etc. When was the spark plugs and leads last changed? I reckon its nothing serious. |

Check the fuel rail for pressure leaks too |

Update A friend suggested changing the coolant temp sensor, said its a known problem on the zetecs. So, gave it a shot and all is now well. |

sensor on the throttle body is a usual culprit |
