Attached to the manifold direct to the ecu. Can anybody tell me anymore about this as I have been told it could be the reason to my problem with my car? Any help or pics would be appreciated ;)

The car will start and run for a little bit very very lumpy, it'll cut out and not start again until maybe a few hours to a week.? Could that be this?

crank sensor or the spi unit is tossed. they were never a good idea when they were new. id go with the crank sensor first.

Hey guys I've been out at the car today and I've came across a plug that's not connected I don't know what it is and for the life of me just spent two hours trying to find somewhere where it could go, I can't upload pica but has 2 thin wires connected to it on is brown and yellow and the other is black? I can email thru my phone a picture and if one of you could be so kind to put it up?

got it, i am looking through wiring diagrams, doesn't look important, i can see from your pic that you had EGR on the car, going by the large holes in the head lol, it may be a connector for that... if so, get some blanking plugs and washers from ford and tuck wire out the way behind the edis module (the plug with 11 wires)

heres the pic if anyone else wants to comment...

EGR is exhaust gas recirculaition...

used to put exhaust gasses back into the inlet to help with emissions...

you probably have a pipe going on the inlet which isnt attached to anything wich would make the car run pooh if not blocked off... and with the large holes on the exhaust side will leak exhaust gas into the engine bay not a good thing!!!!!

another thing, i had the starting issies with mine turned out to be the throttle sensor, wires had fallen to bits and shorted out, check the condition of the wires,- 3 wires notmally covered in a green sleeve next to the inlet
