Whoops, I just noticed I posted this in Troubleshooting rather than Technical
How do you get into your car then if it won't open? The boot?

sounds like you could be doing with a new lock and mechanism, somethings not right there! think yourself lucky... my drivers lock is dodgy and sometimes wont let me in, and my passengers side lock, i dont have a key for and never have lol |

i've had problems with my locks namely the petrol cap (not sure the prob with that) but simply does not un-lock, and the driver side door lock stopped working (in and out) turned out it just needed WD40 which made it work till some fooker put a house key in the door and snapped it off in the lock trying to nick it

my problem is very similar. i can lock it from the outside but it wont open with the key from the outside. and havnt tried to lock from the inside cos why would u do that on your drivers side? i took the panel off the other day, felt around the bottom for a spring or whateva was said to look for, no luck didnt find anything. any ideas ppl?? |
