I thought you lads might know about this best? not taking the piss btw....but what would be the best method and product to underseal/waxoyl/stonechip a car that hasn't had much done form factory? Cheers |

Strip it back to bare metal, if you think it needs cutting out and a new plate welding in, do it. Then look through the many BIG project threads that feature the rust proofing methods. |

Nah its an import Dan so none as standard....but also absolutely no spot of rust as far as I can see, just need something to stop it getting rusty? N ahh i see, i have tried the spray can waxoyl danny, but heard it needs doing more than once? And i found after spraying it on it was really easy to remove by accident haha |

my grandad swears by having crude oil sprayed into the seams and sills, nice and plentyful, it sticks and no water will pass it, even if its the oil from your next oil change, clean oil wont stick and then plenty of underseal, hammerite stuff is cheap enough and its like tar (literally) takes a good wack from a stone to even chip it away any rust should be ground back untill its completely shiney, if impossible to grind back must be cut out till no rust remains and new metal welded in |
