iright sorted my problem down to being the imob. its kicking in all the time and not letting the car start. started once in 2 months and when i turned it off it started straight away and20mins later it didnt. the red light under my clock stays solid when turning the engine over and doesnt flash when the car is locked or unlocked or anytime really. any help or suggestions on this would be appreciated . |

You won't get another master key, but you can get new keys cut from what you have, have you tried to start the car with the wrong key?? If not possible problems could only be the key, transponder ring, wiring or the pats unit it's self |

so the 2 keys that used to start the car are the thin type with no red square on top? but now do not start the car? and the key with the red square on it only opens the door? does it work all the locks apart from the ignition barrel? |

Hold the key with the red chip in it as close to the barrel as you can and use the other key to try and start it |

Have i got this right? The thin keys used to start the car? The thicker one must have the chip in it and the imobiliser must of been picking it up, just, even though its a bit further away from the transponder ring (around the ignition barrel). However for some reason its not now. Have you tryed taking the cowling off around the column, taking the chip out of the key, and tape it too the transponder ring. For some unknown reason it might not like picking the signal up now. |
