i brought a 1.6 si recently and its lowered 60mm problem is you feel every bump and dip basicly feels to stiff do i need better shocks or should i raise it abit say put -30mm springs on

Standard shocks can only cope with a 35/40mm drop maximum, and even then the life of them is shortened, your -60mm springs have probably killed your standard shocks, even with news shocks and -60mm springs it still going to be a very firm ride, might be worth getting -35mm springs

You will always have a choppy ride with lowering springs/lowering kit apart from coilovers.

I had a full spax setup and could feel every stone on the road. Then tried just spax lowering springs. No different. Now I have AVO coilovers and its as smooth as a babies bottom.

Just leave it as it is :D I had it and yes its bumpy buts its all part of being nice and low :)

yea as said anything amoutn of lowering on the standard 16v shocks will make the ride bumpy, mine can anoy me and im only down 30mm

problem is the 16v shocks are sports versions, gas filled for better handling, but that also firs them up, so they feel more severe when lowered

id go to a 40-30mm drop and things will improve a bit but not much

if you can afford adjustable dampers/shocks then go for them as you can make them softer to your liking,
or as danny said coilovers, as most have damper adjustment screws on them
