Warped discs is just vibration when you brake. They warp because of heat so put handbrake on at lights because keeping foot on brake causes heat patches. |

You will notice warped discs when you brake, will feel juddery and the pedal may go up and down slightly. As said, cause is too much heat in the disc. Pulling to the left sounds like sticky caliper if you have had tracking checked - which they would have checked lower arms ect at the same time. So go about seeing if its a sticky caliper

If it was your tracking it would be pulling all the time. As has been said, warped discs won't really make it pull. Do is only pull when you brake then? Which way? Now, I'm not sure if the Fiesta's are the same, but on my old Escort, the rubber brake hoses in the wheel arch have a valve inside them (think it's some kind of ball bearing valve). This was fooked on one of them which was causing major pulling when braking, as one caliper wasn't braking properly. Could be a number of things. Get your calipers off and have a look at the pads, the slide pins, the caliper pistons, everything. And bleed the brakes! |

Is your pedal stiff? I recently had a collapsed brake flexi pipe, looked fine on the out side and would of visually passed the mot, but was picked up on the brake tester, was letting fluid into the caliper but not letting it return from it |

right well guessing my diagnosis of warped discs was wrong  the reason i thought they might be warped is because when i jacked the wheel up and was checking for a buggered wheel bearing, the wheel didnt turn freely and smoothly, sounded like something was slowing it down/in the way, maybe is the caliper? it pulls to the left the whole time des, not just with breaking. new lower arms are on the lot, so i can only guess its the calipers? discs are worn to fuck, on their way out, couldnt bt that could it?thanks so far everyone. good mixture of stuff that make me wonder lol. brake pedal is okay tonwah, not stiff, just normal! same as its always been. there has been a slight drone tango, figured it was wheel bearing but dont think it is that? cheers danny mate, defo making me thikn its that. and lou, atleast i know how warped discs are caused now

Without seeing it it csn be 1 of 3 things 1 siezed caliper 2 pad seized in the carrier 3 collapsed flexi hose |

Brakes are the easiest thing in the world to play with, don't get so worried about them! If you say the wheel didn't move freely when you spun it, it may well be the pad is binding on thanks to the caliper being seized, or as I and Tonwah suggested, could be the valve in the flexi hose causing this. Get the caliper off and have a look 2 bolts, job's a good 'un!

Every caliper I've ever pushed out when putting new pads in was VERY stiff, none of them were seized though. Dont forget to open your reservoir when doing this. In fact Ben, are you ACTUALLY going to do any of this or are you making us all write this stuff for no reason??

haha no sorry des! been on holiday for a week! came back to a flat tyre, just so happens to be where i think this caliper is done in, so when i get the tyre sorted on monday hopefully, i will have a look when popping it back on. reservoir as in the bonnet? and cheers jonny, yeah dont thinks its warped discs after hearing all this
