Hi all i have a mk3.5 fiesta 1.1 i have recently had trouble as im driving i push the clutch down and the engine holds its revs also when i stop in traffic it holds it revs up for a while then finally settles down. due to having a full through stainless this can be very loud and embarrasing as i look like some young rev head ive been told to try clean the carb but before i do this i would like to know what this problem could be and what can be causing it many thanks in advance Iain |

Sorry, brain fart. Because it's a good old HCS, you need to check all the hoses and sensor plugs. |

Took a look today after re cleaning the carb up and putting back together i noticed when i touched the throttle position sensor it calmed down i noticed that you can slightly adjust them after doing so i have had no problems with it so far so hopefully i got it cheers for all the replies |
