Yeah use the cut out marks on the cam and use a locking tool/make your own to lock it in place

well ive ben rebuilding my engine today for my mk2 xr2 and before i pt the head on i need to set the cam to tdc (1.6 cvh) . now i have vernier pully on mine which doesnt have any marking so how do i set my timing up on the head to tdc ? can you use the cut out on the back of the cam? or b the position of the valves? |

there are no markings on the pully |
