so it might be quite noobish but i have no clue what this is for??
can anyone tell me as it seems to have some liquid leaking from it and ive got abit of a rough idle since?

Only filter I can think of on the back is the oil filter. |

does it look like this in the top right of the picture? if so a modified engine breather if you have removed the air box? i fitted mine vertically to reduce oil cary over, if lots coming out could be over filled with oil, blocked crankcase breather or rings getting worn.

yeh thats it its on a long pipe though and sitting on the battery tray would that be making it leak? |

i had the exact same prob mate breather pissin oil everywhere  you can try a few things to sort it 1. get an oil catch tank so its not flyin over the bay but this doesnt cure anything 2. clear the crankcase breather (iv done this to mine but not put bk on yet) its located right behind the exhaust manifold and the manifold has to come off to get to it 3. next step after youv done the crankcase if its still pissin oil i would suggest a rebuild or a new bottom end hav you been giving it some hammer from cold as the previous owner to mine was abit daft like that

which route does it take? better to route the pipe upwards then filter on it so any condensed oil drains back rather than down to area of airbox or as said fit a oil breather catch tank which is what ive now done

i have stood it up between two pipes and the rough idle has stopped so im guessing its not leaking now just have to secure it somewhere lol |
