I have a Si and I have just swapped the power steering for manual.I have got the new rack and colum in but am still looking for the alternator bracket. Now I see that you can use the bracket from the xr2i 16v with the alternator from same car. I was looking at this today and is there any reason why you can't keep the Si bracket and alternator,remove the pulley under the tensior and just use a shorter belt. It seems a easier way to do it. Any reason why that wont work? |

should work with the right size belt mate, and you can just trim all the extra bits that you dont need off the bracket with a grinder |
