Right im not great with cars, hence the need to ask for help.

I was told by a friend who knows a bit about cars that i have a rad leak, ive been filling it with water regularly, every now n again it goes dry m makes a weird clunky noise as i pull away so i straight away put water into it...
today i was lookin to see where the leak is coming from and i noticed a stream of water coming from around the belts?
which im sure isn't right as i cant find any damp ir leaking bits that run a long the pipes from the radiator to where you fill it up.

any help would be muchly appreciated as im a little concerned now.

probly a leaky water pump, but id try a different header tank cap or get yours pressure tested 1st cos there easy to do but i doubt it would be that tbh :thumbsup:

sounds like waterpump and that clunky noise is poss the waterpump beging for mercy lol

Id go with water pump, its what happened with mine then when it finally went water just gushed out of it.

right carrying on from this. my car is now off the road as it is making a horrendous noise when in idle, a lot more clunkier than before.
a friend picked it up for me and had a quick look saying something about my cambelt, something in the engine it moving it ?? is it linked to the water pump??

does anyone know what this may be, how fixable and how much it may cost?

dont want to get rid of her but may be it this time..

any help would be appreciated

water pump runs off the cambelt mate. cost is the price of a cambelt kit and a water pump, then however long it takes you to change it all over. doesnt take that long to be fair :)

right well now im mega confused.... apparently theres something going on with the fan belt as well. could this all be linked? want to get it fixed but not sure how much its going to be worth it??

Well change the fan belt as it cheapest, then if it still persists unfortunately ule need a waterpump and belt kit.
If its a clunky kinda noise its the water pump anyway.
