Just taking the cradle and mounts off my gearbox getting it ready for rebuild and took this electric type sensor off the top. It was mounted near the clutch arm........what is it and do i need it ? i dont currently have one on my other gearbox which is still on the car.

dont think its part of gearbox i never come across anythin like it some sort of oil/water splitter but where it goes to no idea sorry cant be more help but look above gearbox thats fitted in car an see if you can spot any pipes that look similar to this |

looks like the amul valve of a cossie to me but its prob not
