Post subject: | Question about abs |
Well basically does an si have abs? It's not something I've ever thought about and I've always driven old cars so wouldn't know the difference if it was or wasn't. |

Some do some don't On the Si the ABS is rubbish anyways because it's a belt driven system off an old Escort MK4 I took mine off ![]() |

some do and some dont, it was an optional extra. You will feel it through your brake pedal working if you stop harshly in a situation where you would usually skid. |

Ah well I've not had to slam my breaks on yet so I wouldn't know with this one and the only times I have had to were in my red one. As witnessed by some on here ![]() Where would the belt be to show if it is or isn't? |

I think you will be able to see it all near the drive shafts. |

It is nice having these things, but you should be able to drive without, eg my car has stability control, the light never flashes to which it never kicks in, but it is nice to know its there as a safety net. |
