I am putting a 1.6 xr2 lump in my mk3.5 that had a 1.1 ohv engine in. Im trying to connect the fuel lines to the mechanical pump but on the ends of the lines are white and red clip on connections. I need to know how to connect normal fuel pipe to these? or would it be better to run new fuel line from the tank, use an inline filter and then onto the pump? Cheers |

1.6 xr2 on a carb? on the cvh mechanical fuel pump its push on ends that use jubilee clips, whereas the 3.5 uses the quick release clips, do the lines have a join in them near the bottom of the bulkhead? if so you can disconect them there and fit petrol pipe, if not, you can either replace the whole fuel line or make a pipe to fit inbetween the mk3.5 fuel pipe and the mk3 push on connector, the later is what i would do |

Ok where would i get the clip connectors from to make them fit normal hose? I looked at the red one and it has normal hose already clipped on it but the white doesnt :S strange |

completely custom mate, you will need 2 bits of pipe about 2 inches long and some 6 or 8mm petrol pipe and 4 jubilee clips to fit the petrol pipe |

So when the standard pipe goes onto the plastic pipe fuel wont leak out at all? |

nope, theres an "o" ring inside your original pipe, so there wont be any leaking |
