Do they wear out? Mine just squeels like there's no tomorrow!

If I squirt some wd40 into the middle where the bearing is then it stops squeelung for about 20 seconds..... Then starts again :(

this is the last thing I need to sort before the mot!

like everything with a bearing in it, can dry out and fail, not to hard to change just unbolt, only problem with spraying with WD40 is it will wash out and grease left in it
