When new pads and discs have been put on, the slam on brakes effect is out of this world compared to the old ones but the final pull up is a little gentle, not so hard as above 5mph-ish when the pedal is kept at the same level. There is no hard jerk stop at the moment like you see some numpties do pulling up to lights. Is this normal? I've only done about 5 miles so far and I'm not too sure what to expect from new brakes at the front end. They do work, very well, maybe too well ![]() |

Holy crap! So I'm braking on coating, not brakes? This might get nose hurtingly scary then! Pedal feel is very good now all the way down, very linear in braking performance, old brakes had a spongy top end. |

Its part of the brakes bedding in, nothing to worry about, you should avoid heavy braking for as a while (if possible). |

Lol what? I did some brake testing earlier and it pulled up HARD! I had an idea of scrubbing speed off for a second or two with light braking then pushing hard. |

Don't just start slamming the anchors on straight away, bed them in! Especially with new discs on too. They will work but you run the risk of glazing the pads and reducing the overall performance of them, and uneven pad wear causing juddering. |
