Hi I have a 1994 1.6 Fiesta SI and would like to know what the average milage is on a tank of fuel. The reason for this is mine does about 180 - 200 miles and this does seem a little low. In addition to this what should the engine idle at (RPM), mine idles at about 1200 rpm when cold and 800 - 1000 rpm when warmed up. New to the SI but love it!!

cold idle seems fine as thats choke

warm idle is nothing unusal

and fuel seems about right

As Meilack said the idle seems fine.

Unfortunately the milage to the tank is right aswell. I get about 220 miles to a tank driving around town

Yeah, revs sound about right. I would have expected a little more from a tank, but Iguess it all depends on what driving you do most!
I get just under 300 to a tank (have got 300 once, but the needle was well under the red and I was S**ting bricks trying to find a garage in time )
I do 70 miles a day to and from work, half dual carriageway and half single carriageway, but a lot of thrashing it around on the single carriageway as I treat it like a bit of a toy!!
