My clutch cale has just snapped so iv had to leave my car all night in asda car park, gad to check customer services so they wouldnt clamp.

any ho, are all mk3 cables the same or si one different? just so i know i wont get the wrong one. cheers

i think thre al the same mate but be careful i had the same thing and i couldnt find anywere with one and went to fords luckly they had one there it was about 30 quid but i dont no if they make them still though.

They definately still make them.

Just pop to a garage give them your numberplate and pick one up, think it cost me about £20 for one and my AA man fitted it for me

been lookin on ebay and theres some on there for about £18 but i wanna get the right one. i have the part number off another thread on here which is 7119320 so i should ge it soonish

i drove my van with no clutch second gear all the way lol, that had a hydralic clutch.

i changed my clutch cable on my fez, took me 5 mins thats without and engine in there hehehe!! but hope you get it sorted mate!!

cheers, Itook a quick look and at the haynes manuel and it looked easy enough, just thread it through (one spanner rating haha)

oh trust me it is easy, just get under the foot well, look at the clutch pedal lift the pedal as far up as you can that should loosen the cable and you should be able to lift it out and up over the pedal get in the engine bay underneath probably best bet and remove the bad cable then feed the new one through to the pedal and attach, then with the rest of the cable just put it in the clip just below the servo and feed it through to the box simples!!!

How you get on? As far as im aware there all the same.

Should cost about 15-20 quid at most.

If its the first time its snapped, might be a sign of your clutch ratchet dieing.

Could bump starting it yank it abit too much? Iv been doin that a fair bit dueto battery dying on me.

I havent changed it get but got it home last night eventually after therope snapping in the middle of abusy junction lol.

put the clutch cable in but the pedal is very high, can i adjust it? if so how? cheers

theres a little white thing on the top of the clutch pedal, twist it until its where you want the bite

Is it usually hard to turn as i couldnt turn it anymore by hand when i tried it last night?

Get a spanner or something, screwdriver, there might be a screw of some sort in the middle of the white thing. I got my mate to do it and gave him a tenner, regretted it 1 minuite later.

genuine cable is £19.25 from ford finis number is 7119320, fit much better than the non oe items and water doesn't get in through the gromett in the baulkhead
