well had window smashed yesterday
moved the car to fir new boot and went to put it in revese and it started to crunsh
unless i slam the foot to the floor any iders clutch was changed not that long ago cheers rob

did you put any revs on? it'll crunch then. Also sometimes I can't find reverse. So I put it in first then try again normally that helps. If not then I wouldn't know from there

Mine crunches every now and then, unless its mega bad i wouldnt worry, some gearboxes dont work to well when cold, i used to drive a van that you couldnt put in second until it warmed up. |

synchros help the gears mesh together when you change gear. how ever i dont think they have synchros in on the reverse gear in ford boxes. |

I really wouldnt worry about it, when you tart driving it everyday you will find its just only now and then. |

Mine only crunches when i am still moving. So when swinging into a parking space and then reversing out to straighten up, you hear a loud crunch - but other than that it does not happen. |

My van i can stick in reverse with ease in that situation, no crunch. All i can say is if you cant find it grind it. |

if you wait for the revs to settle bk to idle before changing gear you should be ok bud
