i have a knocking noise coming from the left side of my engine any ideas?

Under what circumstances??? Just sat ideling? Driving? Cornering? Braking? Changing gear? Sooo many things. I will hazzard a few guesses.... Wishbones, Drop links Anti roll bar bushes track rod ends Cambelt hitting cambelt cover engine mount... |

would an engine mount cause it to knock when applying the gas and cornering at low speeds?? |

Yeah My pickup had one go, and a roundabout or planting your foot down made the engine hit the bulkhead lol |

i thought as much, its a nightmare in slow moving traffic as every time i go to creep forward it bangs, lol i take it will be the rear one bearing in mind mines a cvh so different to zetecs!! |

mine had a knock and turned out it was the bonnet hitting the bumper if the mounts are not raised |
