im having some issues with my car its running rough on start up its ok while you have your foot down but pulls back on let off and becomes jerky. it seems to be using loads of fuel too. i have put in new plugs and air filter and still the same its all completly standard 1.6 16v fiesta ghia. any help greatly appreciated |

maf? seems to be the cause of problems like this, mine is jerky when started from cold but soon sorts itself out |

MAF, ICV, Lambda, TPS, Plugs, Coilpack. Lots of things really, but each bit can be checked easily. I'd say MAF too, simply because it sounds so like mine which has the same issue. Try taking the metal clip that holds the plug on it, then start the car, listen carefully stood over the engine bay, if when you unplug the MAF it sounds a hell of a lot smoother, it's the MAF. |

MAF or ISCV. id say MAF most probably. common problem. |
