When you say you connected it to a live, do you mean you re-arranged to red and yellow wires? As for your sub, it should turn on with your head unit. All I can think of is a bad earth or its not getting enough power so maybe your alternator isn't upto it. |

i rearrange it then i joined the yellow and the red togever with a bigger fuse, my sub comes on no problem with the cd player on with the just the ignition but as soon as i start it the cd player resets and the sub cuts off |

whats the make of radio first thing for a amp or sub nomal will have a big cable ton earth that is connected to the body and a big red wire from the batt (will need a fuse)not from the RADIO AT ALL they can pull any thing from 20 amps to 60 amps or more this important ...or your burn the main wire for the radio Should have maybe Blue and white or just blue 12+ volt remote turn on to amp this to switch amp on ![]() on the radio if its iso plugs should have a yellow ![]() |

Well most aftermarket headunits which get fitted into Fords require the red and yellow wires swapping around, eg: Headunit Red -> Car Yellow Headunit Yellow -> Car Red |
