Uhm, so my key doesn't turn quite a smoothly as i would expect it to normally in a car.. instead i have to wiggle it around a little, before it'll start, or come back out of the hole! Anyway i can get the barrel off and open it up, maybe something is loose inside it? Key works in all the locks around the car, so it's not the key. Defo wasn't doing this when i got the car. |

it sounds like its fubar mate, time to get a new one and make sure you get the key with it, opening it up can cause more problems than its worth. |

fords do a kit with 2 keys a barrel the door locks a boot lock and fuel cap for about 70quid mate. Ive had to recently do that as well mate but you do need to get the new key programmed to make it start though. |

But smoothing it off would require me to buy a locking system! D: I still have my old 1.4, could i use all the locks off that to put into my 1.6? Would all the electrics still work for the doors though? and what's this programming thing for the car if you change the barrel? D: |

other thing is phone up your local ford dealer and asking if they have anyone that could repair the internals. were i work one boy recons any lock cylinder for a tenner |

Yeah, i'm gunna have a fiddle on wednesday. gotta get my subs out and try and sell them. make it a car clean up day. Been nothing but fly swatting with my car recently. some big ass moths! lool |
