right summer is here!  time to start the DIY work on the car. door sills, top of this list. rusted, horrid to look and and in desparate need of attention. one guy said to me rub it all down, fill and paint it all up will look better than what it is now. i said woudl it just be worth chopping the whole lot off then welding new ones on? any tips, advice or suggestions welcome |

best off putting a new sill on as you will be repairing little bits on a regular basis |

Sills are easy. Alot easier if you have XR skirts / arches cause then you dont have to spend alot of time smoothing them into the rear quaters as much |

you mean if you wanted to fit a new outer sill? yes you would have to cut off the old one |

Sill covers are half arsed. Because if you miss any of the rott under it, the "new" sill cover will rott away too. Just replace the full sills. |

so best way. cut away the old sills. weld new ones on. paint. job looks nice a tidy cheers |

ow so just best to get a new sill ok then and i have been told that i need to take the back door off to replace the sill :s

yh be a lot better. sills are pretty cheap nowdays any way for our cars. |

They aren't that expensive either last rime i priced them up they were about £13 each |
