I noticed this the other day whilst swapping over the plugs, there was oil all over the threads. It isn't smoking though which was puzzling but sometimes when you are giving it some and you change up a gear, the car sticks and the same revs and then starts picking up eventually. Any ideas what this could be and if they are related, Thanks, Ben |

if you remove the plug leads and look down at the plug with a torch is there any oil, would think most likely is the cam cover leaking a bit and oil running down to the plug and getting on the thread when you removed them. wouldnt expect to get oil on plug thread when running as would get burnt off with temperature |

if it isnt puffing out blue smoke dont worry about it. nothing seriously wrong, working down a garage and most plugs i touch have small amount sof oil on them. could be the piston rings letting slight oil through or even just a seal exposing a small minor gap. keep an eye on the oil level if you notice i serious amount of oil leaking start thinking about garage help if not just top up or leave it alone. you would know if you had a serious oil leak. |

it was on all four plugs, which was what worried me. i have a oil leak as there is a ford puddle under my car in the morning lol. but my engine oil is above the full mark |

fi its above the full mark then take some out you can do more damage than good. Ideally betweenhalf way and on the full mark. It isnt a driveshaft seal the reason why you got oil on the floor and for the plugs it isnt you cam cover gasket? |
