silly question, whats a shim
im guessing a peice of metal to space out the gap maybe
if anyones got any pics that would be great as i could probobly make one

You are correct, its a metal hula hoop to make the shocks that bit wider. I am pretty sure happypaul was using them on one of his many fiesta's, might be worth asking him. |

ah ha lol i know what you mean, do you know the dimensions? likt the od, and how long and thickness? i might have a go at making some Also does anyone know if they are safe to run? or if you get any side effects from doing this? i cant imagin it would make any difference, tbh i could just weld them in and then im sure it would be fine

you need a 0.6mm thick shim for thesuspension as i did it with my coilovers on my si |

i have ally shim pack material in work (basically thin sheets off ally glued together that u can pull off to the desired thickenss) i cut out a strip the width of the bottom of the shock then bent it around the bottom of the shock leaving a gap for the hook mount at the bottom |
