Hi i have a mk 3 fiesta mk 3 si 1600 16 v. The car has had lots of work over the last few years but the last few weeks i put new set of springs changing rear lights and door mirrors etc .but to day i was driving to a mates house and i saw the hand brake light on the instrument cluster was showing when i brake it dulls also the rave counter was not working right and now has stop working .. Ok i switch off the car then switch it back on and get no lights on the instrument cluster and also the engine has a problem starting it will start in the end maybe 30 seconds if i unconnect the instrument cluster it starts ok P.S instrument cluster is second hand one from ebay but has been working .. |

Sounds like the plug might have been damaged or just worn out. Take out the wire connections and check the contacts, then look at the tracing plastic as well. Can't think of why the cluster would affect the car starting though? |

thx for the reply i been told that some times the fusebox is a problem so going to check this out soon my car is in for some work on the gear box which is down to be a damage the speed o sensor and it broke off in the gearbox thats been done next week ...so i check the fusebox out after .. |
