maybe interior rad is blocked or if the pipes going to it are blocked iirc the interior rad can be blocked and not effect the main system as the water can bypass the interior rad.. not sure 100% sure tho. or simple problems like is there any water in the system? other than that it may just be a mechanical problem to do with the whole temperature slider assembly. only time i had this problem is when my thermostat was blocked and even then it only went cold for about a min.. |

drain ur coolant system, remove the heater matrix, flush each pipe going to and from the matrix and reverse flush the matric itself or replace with a new 1, there only bout 40-50quid for a new one from a motor factors, and bleed the system until its red hot, shouldn't take more than 2 hours to do the whole job ![]() |

ive had this and it took me ages. firstly run the car to normal temp. check both the pipes going into the car they should be warm. if their cold remove the expansion tank cap just becareful that it dont boil over at ya and squeeze the pipes and see if they get warm it may take a bit of a while but ive just sorted mine out doing the same thing. |

Ok the reason i couldnt find the two coolant pipes is because they arn't connected to the heater matrix anymore, looks like someone at some point has just joined them to each other.... ![]() I am assuming they did this because the matric leaked possibly?! I attempted removing the matrix but i cant seem to drop it down not with that f**ing stupid metal bar that in the drivers footwell there! Bill |

It will drop down, its a bugger, but it does. When i did mine, i think i had to pull the back end down first, then it slides back a bit and falls on the floor ![]() |
