Post subject: | Brake problem |
Hi, can anyone please help me. I've recently bought a Fiesta si which is in need of a little tlc. I have replaced the discs, pads, shoes and also the calipers. My problem is that no matter how much i bleed the brakes (approx 3 litres so far) i still have no pressure in them what so ever and obviously can't stop. Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks. |

hi and welcome, so none of the 4 wheels brakes work, but when you bleed them fluid comes out as usual? i assume no fluid leaks? sounds strange as should be split into two breaking circuits may be master cylinder problems |

did you bleed it using the foot brake or 1 of those eezi bleed things? cos u myt have alot of slack in the linkage between the servo and the pedal cos the servo is on the passenger side an it will make the pedal feel crap |

I bled them using the foot pedal, they seemed to bleed ok and assume i got any air out of the system. When i tested the brakes none of them worked, my first thought was the master cylinder. I only purchased the car on Wednesday and before that it was sat for a fair few months, i don't know if this would maybe damage any of the seals in the cylinder. Guess that will be the next step. Thanks for all help and advice. |
