pics might be a good idea ;) ...inside of doors its best to cut the rotten bit out and put new in..filler only stores up problems for later...rear arches will depend on how bad they are

that doesnt look too epic..id try rubbing it back and rust killering it..then either painting it body colour or using a nice thick paint and putting XR/RS skirts on over it. but if your doing that keep an eye on it to make sure its not rotting super fast behind the kit

Hope that helps :)

it wont rust mega fast..just keep an eye on it.

as i say the door shuts..you can filler it and paint it if you want..but its only storing up trouble...i suppose it depends on how long your intent on keeping it.

i intend on keeping it for ages lol.especially as ive wanted another for 2 years and ive finally done it after having a colt and a pug (unfortunatly) the thing is money isnt great but i want to hold it back for now and then when and if i get the money have it all done properly.i just want the best solution now but then something i can go back and redo.theres no rust in the boot/bonnet ect at all.just the two doors and back arches but the arches arnt no way as bad as the last ones...on this one its just bubble rust but higher up the panel.
more pictures up today tho.

i have the same issue atm. im taking it off the road due to insurance issues and its going into my grannies garage. with my arches im going to wire brush them down then if its deeper im going to grind them down, put some rust killer on ther n go over with hammerite and spray with ash black. same with under the car and door sills. then as you said when i have more money get it sorted properly if the problem still persists.

thank you :) the number plates are pretty similar.dont know if the car has been on here before to be honest :S spent all day cleaning interior and found wet in the rear footwell so any ideas on that will be good :) waiting to sell the pug and using the money to buy as much hammerite...rust killer and paint to do the whole car :) and dont forget blood sweat and tears but its all going to be worth it and ill prob put mondeo alloys on it as i had them before on the old one and fell in love :)

well it is now :D if its the rear i have no idea. could be a leak in the sunroof? try pouring some water over it and see if any comes through. sure someone on here will be able to whip you up an answer.
haha good times! id just take a weekend to rub all the rusted areas down, if the rust hasnt corroded too deep then it shouldnt be too difficult. il let you know how mine goes anyway when i get round to it and vice versa.

mondeo alloys, liking it :)

On Escorts, water in the boot was caused by leaking rear light seals....so I suppose it could be that...and it's running down to the footwell? Just a thought...

theres water ...like a condensation in the boot but nothing really to worry bout but when i sat in the back to hoover it as you do i put foot on carpet and its absolutly soaked.pulled the carpet out from under the back seat and its rusty but only surface and not even bubble, just a rust colour :S other than that the only thing i can think of is the back window seals and its running down the door card but its in the middle(on the hump bit on the floor) and im sure it wouldnt travel up there and the window seals look fine. :S if this makes sense.lol

yeh it will just be surface rust. nothing to worry about, just rub it off.
this is a tricky one though! i would literally go round the car pouring water over all the seals to see if there are any leaks, and then you can diagnose it and fix it. if nothing seems to be leaking then id take it to a garage and get some expert advice (unless someone gives you it on here)
