If by pas you mean PATS then I would say no, the engine wouldn't crank.
When I tried starting my Si with the wrong key all I got was a click and the light under the clock flashing lots!!

hi guys just to refresh on my previous posts,, ie ignition lights are on but starter motor is not cranking which is two months old battery two months old, after reading the haynes manual on the pas sysyem, if it was the pas sytsem the engine would still turn over according to the haynes manual is that correct can anyone verify that????? |

yes engine will crank over but there will be no spark |

is the starter solinoid getting a 12v feed when you turn the ignition to try to start it? |
