could you all take pictures of your boot of where the left (as you look at your boot) boot strut connects to the tailgate, ever since iv had my car its onlt had one strut which isnt strong enough to hold the tailgate up so i recently bought 2 struts of ebay (for a bargain of £4) but when i tried to put the left one on i could connect it to the car but know where to put it on the tail gate ![]() Could you all please shed light on this because im too lazy to go scrap yard and look ![]() |

Yeah its directly opposite i think. If yours hasnt got a bit on the other side, you need to get a early mk3 boot strut. |

If your car is Si you should have the little "nipple" (lol) things on both sides. And you'd be able to see it as the plastic covers on both sides have holes for the nipples haha that word makes me laugh. |

Oh shhhhhii! I just re-read your topic... you meant your boot lid.. oh dear lol. Yeah you have a mk3 boot... not mk3.5. So there is nowhere to put it. |

god knows why my boot is one of the older tailgates when its on an N reg. the boot opening itself looks good, just dont push it by accident while driving lol. could i just drill some holes and attach another mount? |
