Post subject: | Immobiliser HELP!!! |
My problem is that when I lock the car, either immediately or whenever it feels like it, the horn will beep in short bursts and the red immobiliser light will be constantly on. Eventually it will sop and the light will go out enabling me to start the car, but I need to find out what is causing it as its driving me (and neighbours) mad. It doesn't help that I have a 139db air horn fitted. Any help much appreciated |

Thanks, I read through all of the info on pats but none of the error codes fit with my problem. It is as if the car thinks someone is trying to break in. Does anybody know where the sensors are (if any) that tell the car if someone is trying to break in. Could it also be an earth fault? Thanks |

Is it a ford alarm or aftermarket? |

Car was tooting away when unlocked today. I got in and for some strange reason I was able to start the car when the red immobiliser light was on under the clock? Any ideas on what is causing this. Thanks |
