yes you can and it is worth it, BUT you will need deep pockets and you can have a pretty decent upgrade for a lot less money!! |

Basically a 2.0 is the best option followed by a RST conversion. Yes you could turbo the 1.6 zetec but its a lot of work. |

Depends what your mechanical skills are like. A mini supercharger can be found for under 100 notes. Bodge this on running low psi and you will have a little more power, a nice whine and something that is abit different. |

Make a bracket, find a belt, slap it on. Management would throw a fit and it would blow up but it would be technically supercharged. |

Didn't think the MAF sensor could read positive air pressure? You'd need a MAP from FRST wouldn't you? |

I know someone that has just dumped 10k into turboing his escort used the 2.0ltr engine with forged stuff. Think the best opt for a cheap build is the 1.8 zetec lump as the pistons have a bigger crown you can shave some off the top for lower comp. Some ppl say its do-able with 1k |

There is a guy on ft.com called hammer, or hamsit, or something like that. A foreign bloke who supercharged his 2.0 to see what pressure it could take, then when it blew he built it back abit stronger. |
