Hi all

Got in the car this morning to come to work and I put the clutch pedal down and now it won't come back up again. Couldn't get it in gear so I rolled it off the drive and took my Mums car to work and have dropped the Fez keys in to our local garage, the mechanic said he would be able to drive it up there somehow and take a look at it.

He suggested that is was either the ratchet mechanism on the top of the pedal or that the clutch cable had snapped. Does anyone know how long these would take to fix and how much I might be looking at?

Clutch cable, ahhh bless. Did you try and lift the pedal back up? If the cable snapped, the pedal would be looser than an Essex girl. Not a difficult job, but fiddly. Should only take 20mins to do. Cable gets attatched to the clutch box, then fed up through the bulkhead and attatched to the pedal. Or it might be pedal first :look: I always forget. :lol:

same thing happened to me it was the rachet mechanism on mine. it had a clicking sound when the pedal came back up. just slip your foot off the side of the peadl and it should come back up.
