Does anyone know what power steering racks will fit the mk3.5? i.e will the mk4 / mk5 fit?

My Fiesta is non power steering and I'm fitting a 1.6si engine so if I can get a power steering rack it makes the job easier than ditching the power steering.

Personally id keep manual rack. Youl need to get all the pipes/cooler etc. A mk4/5 is similar but will not fit. A KA one is the same.

hmm, ive kept my power steering but ditched the cooler from in the system as there is no space for it at the front any more, made me think now if it will be ok!!!!

i would rather have no power steering

i took the pulley off on mine and liked it alot better

Can I keep the pump on the car, then ditch the pulley and use a shortened drivebelt?

all depends on what the car is used for, if on track then sack PAS off, wouldn't worry too much about no cooler, should work ok really.
If you sack it off then loose all the pump etc as well, find a belt to suit, may have to modify the bracket slightly or as above, use XR2i one.
