Help Needed!!

Need to get to the scrappy before it closes

My top hose has been split for a while now, and today i'm going to do something about it..

One problem is one screw I cant get to, and i dont know what this big thing in my way is. Can anyone shed any light? sorta looks like an engine mount to me or something I just need to know how to get to that last screw dammit!

yup that would be your front engine mount, that should bolt to the side of your drivers wing/chassis

isn't that nut/screw head positioned in the most lovely and reachable place

Yeah, just determined it was the engine mount, sent the photo to a mechanic friend.. and common sense told me it was.

Hmmmm. yes its a lovely place, its the same on the scrap yard car but you can see it a little more.

How do i get to it anyway to break the clip?

umm.. only thing i can suggest is use an extension bar with an adustable/moveable end on a small ratchet and see if you can get too it

other than that a really long flat blade screw driver might get in there better

if you can see the one at the scrap yard better go and get that off first befreo it closes and then come back to yours

non those ubilee clips you can either use i think a 6mm ractchet bit or a flat blade screw driver as there a slot for it

screw driver might be your better option tho, only way i think you might be avle to break the clip is if you can get a set of pliers/cutters down there and into the gap, but i seriously dobt it, as i rmember the space being nice a tight like

Have you tried a long flat head screwdriver?, if it won't fit due to the head being too wide you could always grind it down so that the head is flat (bladed), it might be easier than trying to get a shorter driver down there..

Just found two huge rachet extensions and two huge screwdrivers. And a couple other bits. I'm off. Will update on the progress after blood sweat and tears.

Awesome I didn't get it off, somene else did for me lol was there for about half hour.

took the bonnet off as there was no holder.
attack with it a screwdriver and rachet none worked.
dude came along and was like I think i have a slightly longer screwdriver, and why dont you do it from this way.. within 10 seconds it was out.

least you got it now and know how to tackle the issue when it comes to removing it from your fez

Its a pain in the arse to get too, but you will get it off. try a flexible hose clip screw driver.

That was a bugger when I did mine,I was lucky and had a really long set of extension bars and used a ratchet on it.You have to go in the Pink mmmm pink
