I have been looking for a new wishbone for my si as the original is dead, I'm pretty sure its a mk3 part but when asking parts suppliers they say that a mk3 part will not fit as its a 96 and they only go up to 94

Does anyone know if its a mk3 part or am I after something else entirely.. couldn't find any mk3.5 parts

According to Wiki the Mk3 ran until 1997!!

Had heard of some rare P-reg Mk3 Si's kicking about so it's possible it's a Mk3, but as you say either a picture or a comparison with Wiki will clear it up nicely!!

Right just been clarified that the 3.5 takes a diff wishbone due to the ps, and that these are for dates 1/94 to 12/96, hope that helps if anybody else needs to know.

All you need to know is its a mk3, and if it has power steering or not.. the difference in wishbones is the size of the ball joint pin which goes in the hub. About £30 new from a motor factors.

It's an N reg 96, Danny's answer is spot on what I was told, although I got my pattern part for half that, only needs to last a year or so untill I can get uprated parts, just got to put the part on now, should be easy as long as the bolts aren't too seized .

Bit of an update,

Got wishbone off ebay for about 14 pounds, bolts from ford for 8

When it came to changing the arm the bolts had seized and I broke two socket adapters trying to get them off, gave up in end and awaiting a 1/2" drive bit. Hopefully that and the current bathe of oil they're in will free them.. i hope

Other than that I've resprayed the rear wiper (arm) in satin black to go with its new aero blade, looks so much better than before, will be spraying the spoiler and fogs (thanks to stunning) soon.
