Hi All

Was stuck in traffic for 3 hours and somthing has happened to the car. when pulling away now it is realy sluggish im haveing to rev loads to get going seems ok when im doing over 40 its like i have to keep dipping the clutch when pulling away. Also on steep hills i now need to be in a lower gear than i used to be to make it up the hill. any ideas

welcome to fsi

i dont know that much info on the 1.25 zetec SE engines, but i'll give it a go

i maybe wrong but have you tried cleaning your MAF sensor? only other thing i can think of is mayeb your lambda sensor

are you able to get to a garage to get it on a diagnostic machine to see if that can pick up a fault? will save you alot of time and chasing your tail

When you say easy how easy is that does it matter what order the ht leads are connected to the coil pack?

Its very easy, a lot easier than a mk3 if that's possible as the engine bays a lot less cramped.

Yes they need to go in the correct order but you can always number them with tipp-ex and reference to paper, that's the way I first did it.

Then its just a case of removing the four set screws and putting in a new pack, I got one for 12 quid off ebay and it worked past the engine.

I have a spare ford one if wanted
